This week, the ISUOG team returns to Muscat to inaugurate Phase II of the Outreach program. The main goal of this phase is to empower the new trainers to hone in on their teaching skills, to then progress with plans to provide training nationwide in the future. Volunteer in Rwanda: call out for Outreach Trainers
ISUOG Outreach is launching Phase I Trip I of its inaugural Rwanda program in Kigali the week of 28 October – 1 November 2019. Working in partnership with the Rwandan Ministry of Health and the Rwandan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (RSOG), the program aims to train key practitioners in the country in order to build capacity in OB/GYN ultrasound. We’re looking for dynamic, dedicated and open-mind professionals with experience in OB/GYN ultrasound training to take part in this new program with great potential to impact the lives of Rwandan women. ISUOG Outreach trainee, Dr Noura Mohammed Abu Elgasim Alfaki
This month ISUOG Outreach returned to Sudan to complete the final trip of Phase I. The program selected 7 trainers who will now go onto train other practitioners across Sudan. One of the selected trainers, Dr Noura, was passionate to begin her training, noting: ‘I will be very happy to teach others and help them to benefit from me’.

ISUOG Outreach Trip II of the Cap Haïtien, Haiti program
Haiti Outreach Trip II began on the 15th September 2018. Lisbet Hanson, Gail Ghiretti, Federico Badano and Stephane Michael began their training with a group of 20 local practitioners. This trip of the Cap Haïtien, Haiti program was very productive: more than 100 patients examined, 15 lectures given, 25 cases reviewed with 22 Trainees and 4 ISUOG Volunteers from around the world participating, including one Haitian doctor that graduated from the St Damien’s Outreach!

Sudan OLD
ISUOG Outreach has worked with the Sudanese Government and key stakeholders to bring basic ultrasound in OB/GYN training locally in a sustainable environment.
