Supplement your learning for Exploring the fetal brain and heart.

Join us for this engaging and informative course. Together with a panel of expert speakers from around the world, they will dive into the latest discourse surrounding ultrasound in the exploration of fetal brain and heart. This course offers attendees a valuable opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the new advances in this area and learn how to apply them in practical situations.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply fetal cardiac imaging techniques to diagnose congenital heart defects, including septal defects, outflow tract anomalies, and valve abnormalities.

  • Interpret genetic findings relevant to cardiac and brain anomalies, and understand their clinical and management implications.

  • Recognise major fetal heart defects (e.g., Tetralogy of Fallot, TGA, HLHS/HRHS, coarctation) and discuss their pathophysiology, imaging features, and outcomes.

  • Identify key brain anomalies such as ventriculomegaly, cerebellar malformations, corpus callosum agenesis, and absent CSP.

  • Understand the diagnostic process and management for microcephaly, intracranial haemorrhage, and evolving brain malformations.

  • Communicate complex findings effectively with families, including prognosis, genetic counselling, and postnatal implications.
