Program
This course will be held at the University of NIgeria throughout two days and it will cover the essentials of the obstetric and gynecological ultrasound.
The program includes all the 30 ISUOG Basic Training Lectures and it is aimed not only for trainees who want to learn the theoretical knowledge and skills needed on ultrasound in OBS & GYN, but also to doctors with extensive practical experience.

Peter Onubiwe Nkwo is a Professor and Honorary Consultant Special Grade 1 as well a three-time Head of Department of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Nigeria and University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla Enugu.
His academic qualifications include MB.BS, International Certificate in Leprosy and Tuberculosis management and control, (ALRT, Addis Ababa), several diploma and certificate courses in infectious disease/HIV/AIDS control and programming, DLSHTM (London), M.SC, RSHR (London), M.SC, ANAT (ABSU) and FWACS (OBGYN).
Professor Nkwo has attended the basic, intermediate and advance ISUOG-approved training courses in feto-maternal ultrasonography; and is currently the unit head, Feto-Maternal unit as well as the site coordinator of the national programme for the Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu.
His research interests are mainly in women’s health, particularly their reproductive and sexual health as well as in feto-maternal medicine.
