Join us for this advanced course on 'The role and value of Doppler ultrasound across all trimesters' on Sunday 16th February 2025, led by Prof. Ahmet Baschat and Prof. Asma Khalil with a panel of international speakers, via livestream. This blended learning course combines 1 day of asynchronous learning via the ISUOG Academy and 1 day of live learning via livestream.

Delegates will receive access to a variety of educational materials; articles, journals, scans, quizzes, case examples and lectures before the live event. This blended learning experience will allow delegates to engage, digest, and understand key concepts from basic to advanced in the use of Doppler ultrasound.

The role and value of Doppler ultrasound across all trimesters will be centered around exploring the different uses of Doppler Ultrasound. This course will take you through ISUOG's Doppler guidelines, as well as the use of Doppler in screening for preeclampsia to using it in the management of fetuses at risk of anemia.

This course is relevant to obstetricians, sonographers, and midwives.

It will give you the opportunity to learn and advance in your use of Doppler Ultrasound in the assessment and management of a variety of obstetric and gynecological conditions, which can be used in your daily practice.

Program

The program for this course has been curated by the course Chairs Prof. Ahmet Baschat and Prof. Asma Khalil. This blended learning course will feature 10 hours of online self-study learning, in addition to the one-day live livestreamed course on the 16th February, which will be 8 hours of interactive learning and discussion from an expert panel of speakers.

Attendees will be able to access the online self-study through the ISUOG Academy. Following successful registration, attendees will be enrolled for the e-learning part. This e-learning provides an average of 10 hours of online learning, through lectures, articles, guidelines, VISUOG chapters, quizzes, and US scans. Delegates have access until Wednesday 16th April 2025 to access both the e-learning and on-demand recordings.

Enrolment and access to the e-learning and on-demand course may take up to five working days. You will be able to access the e-learning through the Academy on our website, it will be found in your My Learning tab. You will be able to access the on-demand content through a portal. All this information will be shared with you via email, once your registration has been accepted.

Trainees/residents and sonographers/radiographers

Proof of status: All trainees, residents, sonographers and radiographers will need to submit proof of their trainee, resident, sonographer or radiographer status by way of a letter from their Department or Institution. The letter must be in English and dated within the last 3 months. The document can be uploaded at the time of registering or sent by email to [email protected].

Sonographer definition: A sonographer is a non-physician medical imaging professional who performs diagnostic medical sonography, or diagnostic ultrasound.

Trainee/resident definition: A trainee is a medical professional who is not yet fully qualified or practicing without supervision within their chosen specialty and in accordance with the relevant national regulatory authorities; a resident is in residency training which leads to specially or subspecialty) certification.

Low resource country discount

Prof. Asma Khalil is a Professor of Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine at St George’s University Hospital (University of London). She is a subspecialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, specialising in scanning women and babies with complications in pregnancy. She is the lead for the Multiple Pregnancy service at St George’s Hospital, the referral unit for the South West London region, but also cares for women with low risk pregnancies.

Prof. Khalil gained her MD at the University of London in 2009 following two years’ research into pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure in pregnancy). She also has a Masters degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and an MRC scholarship. She has published more than 45 peer reviewed research papers in medical journals, and many review articles and book chapters. She has been awarded many research prizes, at both national and international meetings.

Her research interests include hypertensive disease in pregnancy, multiple pregnancy, and other complications of pregnancy.

Does ISUOG offer certificates of attendance for education courses?

Yes, ISUOG offers certificates of attendance for our education courses. Please note the ISUOG certificate of attendance will be available for one year after a course.

Does ISUOG offer CME certificates for education courses?

ISUOG's education courses are accredited on a case by case basis. Please check the course webpage for information on CME accreditation. Please note the CME certificate will be available for one month after a course. After one month registered delegates will only be able to download their ISUOG certificate of attendance.

How do I download my certificate?

Following a course registered delegates will receive an email with a link to submit an evaluation form. After completing the evaluation form, registered delegates will be redirected to their certificate, which can be filled in before downloading. Please be sure to download your certificate before exiting the survey.

Am I able to cancel my registration?

Full refunds will be given until the 12th April.

A cancellation fee of £30 will be applied.
