Travel

The closest airport to the Hungexpo is Liszt Ferenc International Airport Budapest. It is 16 km the centre of Budapest and about 15 km (20 minutes) from the Congress venue.
 

 

Getting to Hungexpo

Budapest has an extensive public transport network, including buses, metro and more. For more information on how to get to the Hungexpo, please visit the venue website.
 
BUS: Bus 10 serves most of the entrances of the Hungexpo building. You can view the timetable for Bus 10 here.
 
METRO: Pillangó utca station (Line 2). You can plan your journey here.

Insurance

It is the attendee’s own responsibility to arrange any personal travel insurance wanted or needed for entry into Hungary (and for any other countries that attendees stop at the way to Hungary).

Visas

ISUOG strongly advises that attendees only register for the World Congress once they are confident that they can legally enter Hungary/will be able to obtain a visa in time to do so. Refunds will not be provided to those who have not allowed enough time to have their visa approved, or have their visa rejected. It is the attendee’s own responsibility to check and fulfil any visa requirements for entry into Hungary (and for any other countries that attendees stop at on the way to Hungary). The official website of the Hungarian Consular Service contains information on all visa requirements for entry to Hungary. Furthermore, this website serves as an independent resource that may prove valuable for delegates who are uncertain about their visa requirements.
