Buses serving the Hungexpo Congress venue

The Budapest Convention Bureau and Hungexpo are kindly increasing the frequency of buses to the Hungexpo for ISUOG 2024, as follows:

Bus 10
  • Route: Bus 10 serves Örs vezér tere station, which is on the M2 line of the Budapest metro network. Bus 10 is a standard public transport service that runs normally, but has increased frequency for ISUOG 2024 as listed above.
  • Drop off/pick up point at the Hungexpo: Hungexpo Gate III.
Bus 10 E
  • Route: Bus 10 E serves Stadionok Puskás Ferenc Stadion metro station, which is on Tram 1 and M2 metro line of the Budapest network. Please note, Bus 10 E is a special service for ISUOG 2024 only, only running at the times listed above.

  • Average journey time: 20 minutes

Taxis / Uber

There will be a special temporary taxi rank outside the Hungexpo Congress Centre (C) during Congress hours. A desk will be set up near the registration desks in the venue lobby where attendees can arrange pickups. The taxis will take cash (euro or HUF) or card. The fare between the Hungexpo and the city centre normally ranges between 10 and 20 euro but this depends on time of day, demand, etc. and is subject to change. Delegates may also wish to use online booking options such as Uber or Bolt.

Parking

Onsite parking within the Hungexpo is reserved for staff, crew and the LOC. However, the street ‘Albertirsai út’ nearby the venue usually has space for free parking (at delegate's own risk).

Insurance

It is the attendee’s own responsibility to arrange any personal travel insurance wanted or needed for entry into Hungary (and for any other countries that attendees stop at the way to Hungary).

Visas

ISUOG strongly advises that attendees only register for the World Congress once they are confident that they can legally enter Hungary/will be able to obtain a visa in time to do so. Refunds will not be provided to those who have not allowed enough time to have their visa approved, or have their visa rejected. It is the attendee’s own responsibility to check and fulfil any visa requirements for entry into Hungary (and for any other countries that attendees stop at on the way to Hungary). The official website of the Hungarian Consular Service contains information on all visa requirements for entry to Hungary. Furthermore, this website serves as an independent resource that may prove valuable for delegates who are uncertain about their visa requirements. Please note that ISUOG does not assume responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided, and does not claim liability if any information is found to be incorrect.
