The Congress will take place in Congress Centre C & Hall H, within the Hungexpo. You can visit their website here and view their location on Google Maps here.

Travel

Taxis / Uber 
There will be a special temporary taxi rank outside the Hungexpo Congress Centre C during Congress hours, for delegates to get taxis to and from. These taxis will take cash (euro or HUF) or card. The fare between the Hungexpo and the city centre normally ranges between 10 and 20 euro but this depends on time of day, demand, etc. and is subject to change. Delegates may also wish to use online booking options such as Uber or Bolt. 
 
Parking 
Onsite parking within the Hungexpo is reserved. However, the street ‘Albertirsai út’ nearby the venue usually has space for free parking (at delegate's own risk). 
 
Public transport information 
The Budapest Convention Bureau and Hungexpo are kindly increasing the frequency of buses to the Hungexpo for ISUOG 2024. For more info visit our Travel page. More information on all Budapest public transport can be found athttps://bkk.hu/en/ or on the BudapestGo app.  

Insurance and travel requirements

You are advised to take out your own insurance to cover personal possessions, travel and cancellation as the Congress does not protect individuals against cancellation of bookings or theft or damage to belongings. ISUOG regrets it cannot accept cancellation requests for individual travel interruption caused by strikes or natural causes. It is the delegates’ own responsibility to check and fulfil any visa requirements for entry into Hungary (and for any other countries attendees stop at on the way to Hungary), and for return travel to their home country, ahead of the event.

Congress app

The Congress app is available for all industry personnel regardless of badge type. Please note that only those with Scientific Badges will be able to access the on-demand session videos after the event.
 
To access the app, please follow the instructions below: 
 
Step 1: Search “ISUOG 2024” in the Apple Store or Google Play to download the app. You can also click the buttons or scan the QR codes below.
Step 2: Enter the event code ISUOG (code is not case-sensitive).
Step 3: Login using the e-mail address you used to register for the event.
Step 4: You will then receive an email containing a passcode. Enter this code in the app and click 'verify' to access the app.
Please note that the email address you use must be the email address used on your Congress registration form.
 
The event app is compatible on iPhones, Android phones, iPads and Android tablets. We recommend devices are updated to the latest version to support all the features of the app. We also encourage you to allow notifications from the app on your device to keep up with the latest news from the Congress.
 
Should you encounter any difficulties in downloading or utilising the app, please see the App Support team onsite at the registration desks.

Exhibitor/sponsor registration and badge collection

Important information

  • There will be no access to the Congress without a badge:
    • Exhibitor badges: These allow holders to the Exhibition and any relevant meeting room/hospitality suite of their company, but not to scientific sessions
    • Industry scientific badges: These allow holders to all areas of the Congress, including scientific sessions. These do not include ISUOG membership. We understand industry partner staff may need to attend main-program scientific sessions. Industry scientific badges are for this purpose
  • Each exhibitor/sponsor badge (of any type) must be allocated to an individual person via the exhibitor portal (via the company representative/administrator) prior to the Congress
  • Badges will be available for onsite collection from the registration area. In order to collect a badge, the name / email or QR code of the badge holder must be given/displayed/scanned
    • If an exhibitor badge-holder wishes to self-print their own badge (of any type) they can proceed directly to the ‘delegate badge collection’ self-printing points to do so. Should you choose to collect the exhibitor badges as a group (the named company representative/administrator must be present), you will need to provide the names of all exhibitor badge holders and make arrangements to distribute the badges before entry to the exhibition; you will only be able to collect in bulk those exhibitor badges that have not already been printed by individual members/badge-holders of your group. Exhibitor stand badges cannot be re-printed, so please ensure you keep your badge safe and displayed during the whole event. Exhibitor badges, whether collected/printed individually or as a group, will only display the exhibitor company name and not the name of the individual assigned the badge. Priority access to the registration help desks for group (bulk) collection of exhibitor badges by the company representative: Saturday 14 September, 12:00-17:00
  • Industry scientific badge-holders must use these self-printing collection points to print their badges individually and can only be collected/printed individually by the named delegate (no bulk collection). All individuals on your company badge list will have been sent unique QR codes allowing them to self-print their own badge, if they choose to do so
  • Please note that any additional hostesses/staff working on your symposium, within your hospitality suite or on your stand must have a valid exhibitor badge, which must be purchased in advance and allocated to their name
  • From 14 September onwards, the onsite fees will apply for all badge purchases with strictly no exceptions

Industry Roundtable

There will be an opportunity for sponsors/exhibitors to attend an Industry Roundtable with our President, Prof Laurent Salomon, President-Elect, Prof Reem Abu-Rustum, Interim CEO, Wendy Holloway and team.  This will give you a chance to give us any feedback about the Congress and hear ISUOG’s longer term and wider plans, helping us to improve and keep ISUOG relevant for your company.

The exhibition is located in E1-3, Ground Floor, Congress Centre C, Hungexpo. Tea, coffee and lunch will be served in the exhibition hall. The Welcome drinks will also be served in the exhibition hall. If you have not notified us of a special dietary requirement already we cannot guarantee that your requirement can be catered for.

Sunday 15 September: Welcome reception

Celebrate the first day of Congress, re-connect with old friends, meet new friends and network with industry partners at our welcome reception. This is free of charge for all badge holders and will include alcoholic and soft drinks, and snacks.

Tuesday 17 October: Congress party

Experience the vibrant ambiance of Akvárium Klub as the venue for the ISUOG World Congress Party. Nestled in the heart of Budapest, Akvárium Klub offers the perfect backdrop for networking, socializing, and celebrating. Join us in this industrial, chic venue for a 3-course buffet meal, drinks package including soft drinks, beer and wine, and live entertainment. Head to the dance floor, or explore other areas of the club, including an outdoor terrace.
 
Please note: this event is an informal party, not a seated gala dinner. Although some seating will be available, we encourage our guests to explore the venue, mingle, and take in the live music performances. Transport to/from the venue is not included, but the venue is very central and within walking distance from the Congress headquarter hotel (Corinthia).

WiFi will be available to attendees. Should you have any internet-based feature/activity at your stand/Hospitality Suite/Meeting Room, we strongly recommend ordering a dedicated internet connect to guarantee a high-quality service. Please submit your request for internet connection in advance to HUNGEXPO.  Kindly specify what kind of internet-based activities are planned and how much bandwidth will be required.
