At the AGM in September 2024, we were thrilled to announce that Prof. Suresh Seshadri has been appointed as a Trustee for the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG).
Prof. Suresh Seshadri is the Director of MediScan Systems Diagnostic Ultrasound, Fetal Medicine and Training Centre in Chennai, Tamil Nadu INDIA. He is also a Professor of Practice at the department of Medical Science, IIT Madras. A highly charitable and dedicated professional, Prof. Seshadri serves as the CEO of the Voluntary Health Services Multispecialty Hospital, a public charity where he actively strives to provide affordable health care to the community.
Prof. Seshadri is also a Trustee of the Fetal Care Research Foundation, which supports the underprivileged with preventive, supportive, and curative care for birth defects and rare disorders.
Outside of his professional commitments, he has a deep passion for nature, wildlife photography, and amateur radio.

But let’s take a moment to get to know him better as a trustee of ISUOG with a few questions:
When did you become an ISUOG member, or when did you first get involved with ISUOG activities?
‘I became an ISUOG member since 2003 and was following ISUOG closely attending congresses. Was inducted into the Basic Training task Force in 2016.’
What are you most excited about contributing to ISUOG as a new trustee?
‘As a new Trustee, I see this as an exciting opportunity to help make ultrasound education accessible and equitable worldwide, particularly in underserved regions, and to harness the potential of AI in achieving our goals.’
In your opinion, how does ultrasound contribute to improving women’s health?
‘Ultrasound is a transformative tool in women’s healthcare, providing a safe, non-invasive way to gain insight into reproductive health. It empowers early detection and precise monitoring, enabling timely interventions that save lives and enhance quality of care for women worldwide.’
